There are times in life when we find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. Difficult experiences, life transitions, or longstanding patterns can begin to affect how we relate to ourselves and others.
Individual counselling offers a space to slow down and explore these experiences in a thoughtful and supportive environment. It provides an opportunity to reflect on what may be happening in your life, to understand the emotional and psychological patterns that shape your experiences, and to consider new possibilities for change. My approach to counselling is grounded in relational and existential perspectives. This means we explore not only the difficulties you may be facing, but also how your experiences, relationships, and personal history have shaped the ways you understand yourself and the world around you. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or quick solutions, the work often involves developing a deeper understanding of the experiences that may lie beneath feelings of anxiety, frustration, sadness, or disconnection. Through this process, many people begin to discover new ways of responding to challenges and relating to themselves with greater clarity and self-awareness. People come to counselling for many different reasons. Sometimes there is a specific difficulty that has prompted the decision to seek support, while at other times there is simply a sense that something in life no longer feels as it once did. Areas we may explore
Counselling is not about being given advice or told what to do. Instead, it is a collaborative process that allows you to reflect on your experiences in a way that can deepen understanding and open the possibility for change. Sessions are 50 minutes and available online or in person in London. If you would like to explore whether counselling might be helpful for you, please feel free to get in touch using the enquiry form. |
